Would You?
I don't know what I'm getting myself into, but I'll let everyone know how it turns out ....
Would you fly 2200 miles to drive a 22 year old car across the country that you've never seen in person before? I picked up a 1987 560SEL off of ebay from a dealer. It's a one-owner car with about 160,000 miles on it. It's in Florida and I live in Southern California. I ride my motorcycle cross country all the time so I might be taking this too lightly. This is my first Benz that I'll be playing with. I've had a few cars from that other German company that also makes motorcycles
Needless to say, I've been reading everything I can find on the reliability and issues these cars have, but I thought I would put this to the people that know the most about these cool 1980s cars.
Ship it or drive it?

Cheaper to ship it, but it could be funer to drive it. I would have have an inspection done by a local indy shop to insure everything is in good working condition before making the choice. If all is well, go for it.
I would have zero issues driving MY W126 across the country.
