Need Help

Hello, I am in need of some fast help. I drove my 560 home tonight and changed the Idle Air Control Valve, it got rid of my 1800rpm high idle and slipping gear changes but I have discovered a new problem. It happened a couple of times with the old IACV but I just figured it was just the valve doing it. When stopped at a light or stop sign in gear holding about 900 rpm sometimes the car would studder and the eco gauge would go completely to the right and stall. You could put the car in neutral and the car would idle at about 1000rpm with the eco gauge almost in the middle. Now with the valve changed the car starts, idles at 900 with the eco gauge at the left for about 5 seconds and then the eco gauge moves to the right and stalls and sputters. Driving it will go for about a minute in gear, and then lose all power, and no matter how much foot you give it it will stall. Even holding 4000 rpm driving it will still stall out. One of my friends says that is the EGR valve doing this, I just wondered what you guys think this is. Thanks
