1982 300SD TURBO DIESEL
Lowering Springs
anyone know if they make a set of lowering springs for 1982 300SD TD...or can i cut the factory or new set of OEM coils? if i do cut coils anyone know how much of the coil to cut for the front end? ****in car looks like its going to take off like a rocket ship. knowledgeable replies please. plus does anyone know if this car has a self leveling system?

I did this modification to my W210 diesel with great results. I cut the front ones 3/4 turn and the rear, 1/2 turn - no more than that. Play with the rubber pads because they offer various heights for different applications. I also changed the shocks to bilstein sport and the car behaves very well. Obviously, a 4 wheel align is a must. I didn't need a camber kit of any sort.
