Recirculation Servo Actuator R&R

My dual-servo Recirculation Actuator (behind the glove compartment) doesn't work anymore (1987 420SEL). The R&R procedure talks about "prying the whiz nuts off the mounting pins of the actuator", then removing the actuators. The only thing I can see holding the servos to the bracket looks more like dual plastic springy prongs. Am I supposed to rotate the actuator a certain amount and then pull off the actuator? Or, am I to pry back the plastic prongs and pull the actuators straight back off the metal bracket? Thanks in advance!

Is it the actuators or is it the change over valve that sends vacuum to them? mine went bad...
