1991 300 Se Idle surgeing help!!!
Hi, sorry to bother ya, but my coupe is in the shop because i hit the curb, and they found out my control arm needs replacin and now they are sayin i bent the frame>?? Im going to get a second opinion but my only other car is a 91 300 SE W126.
It has 50000 miles its been garage kept, and today it has a problem for once. It surges at idle up and down and revs to like 1500 rpm. I checlked the linkage and its all free.
In drive it seems fine but it makes the tranny clunk because the rpm is high/
Any idea of what could cause this or what I could do to diagnose it? I am thinking a idle controler motor but Im not sure. I am pretty skilled with teh hands, but I havent a clue where to start on this car.
