1989 300SEL Knocking Sound from Engine
Last night, my car started fine but noticed it to be driving a bit "funny." There was a knocking sound coming from the engine/transmission (Not sure exactly where) and when I would press on the accelerator the car would delay for about a second before deciding it wanted to move. Then, just before turning down the street I live on, my car died.
Sitting in the middle of a busy street, I try to start my car several time but to no avail. Finally, after about 10 tries it starts and I put into drive and have to keep the RPM's above 1000 otherwise my car would die. I get my car into the driveway and decide I'll look at it in the morning since it was storming and it was late.
This morning my car started for about 5 seconds before making the knocking sound again and then dying. Now, it will not start at all. HELP ME?!
Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing me these problems?

Your problem is difficult to diagnose without visually inspecting the car. As I first learned when I was a new young electronics technician, always do a visual inspection first. One knocking sound that can come from an M103 engine is the belt tensionor shock, but it would not keep the engine from running. Check if you have enough coolant, because sometimes the sensor craps out. Check for oil in the crankcase. Remove valve cover and check cam, rockers and chain.As you crank the engine check to see if oil pressure comes up. It's possible you lost a head gasket so a compression check might also be in order.You may have also jumped valve timing so check it while the valve cover is although again unlikely on an M103.
