Finally! (Interior)
After trying an embarrassing array of leather care sprays and cream (some of which actually did real harm to my '89 300SE leather) I've finally found some stuff that works very well, it is non-solvent, natural, and doesn't take off any color. Its called Zymol Leather Conditioner in a 8oz bottle (part #Z-509). Honestly- it actually seems to revive the original leather smell, I don't know how it does this. It my experience that 9 out of 10 leather "care" solutions off the shelf actually hurt my interior, or coated it with something.
This Zymol is the best I've found for my surface-colored leather in this '89 300SE. Happy to share this find.

Lexol is one of the few I did not try, so I can't tell you if it is solvent-type or not, so I can't yay or nay. Once I find something that does no harm and works well, I will stick with it.
