1991 300SE Fuel Problem NO START
Hello i recently aquired a 1991 300SE 167K miles. It has new plugs, wires, and a newer cap and rotor.. Also has a new fuel pump. I bought the car not running. When the key is turned on i can feel a little click when i put my hand on fuel pump but it isn't running. The car will start on starting fluid but then cuts off starving of fuel. I do believe it is something with the fuel pump but not sure where to start. like i said it has a new fuel pump on it. It has just been sittting for 6 months. I have heard to check the relay but am unsure of the location. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here's a link to a couple files with relay location and testing procedures in the Bentley manual.

Basically, you need to verify power to the pump and if it's not there, you need to find the break in the power. If the pump has power, then you need to test for fuel volume. If that's good, then you check your system and control pressures.
