Unhappy 87 420SEL has no performance
I have a 1987 420SEL that has a rough idle at start up, but gets better when warms up. The major problem I am having is, when taken off from a light (or when I have to stop) I have no get up and go. The more I press on the pedal, the less power I have. I have replaced the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, fuel pump relay and the relay with the red cap and fuse. Nothing has helped. Please help......

Also, I only run 93 octane fuel in her.

I was talking to a few friends, and one of them thinks the problem could be the cat is glogged, could this be true?

I was just gonna suggest a clogged cat. usually idle OK but seem to get worse performance if you press hard on the accelerator.
