Mercedes 300SE 1990

Fuel Consumtion

Friends I have 1990 300 SE. I just wanted to know how to adjust my fuel setting. its giving me just 8.5 miles per gallon which I think is very low for highway.

I don't know how to adjust the fuel settings but can say that 8.5 miles per gallon for highway driving is way too low. The 1987 420SEL I had would easily do twice that on the highway, though average over-all mileage was around 12-13 mpg since I did a lot more city driving then highway. But driving 'the vault' was worth the lower fuel mileage / higher costs.

Due to the fuel injection, I would think you might need the help of a good independent shop and equipment to get the settings correct.

r129 320sl, w210 E55, w126 300se

Hi, just been calculating my recently purchased 300se, over 386 miles it got 24 miles per imperial gallon. over another 284 it got 23.8. they both included lots of short journeys, some heavy accelerating and sustained driving ( 50 miles +) at over 80mph
