All - I've diagnosed my 300se AC problem as a fan/blower than needs replacing. The AC blows cold air, but only when the car is moving. The faster I go, the faster it blows. Stop, and I swelter.

So...I know the fan is in the passenger footwell above the passenger's feet, behind/below the glove box. Right. So how do I get in there?

I've removed three small fascia screws and removed every screw I can see...I've even removed the glove box (not the door) and I can see inside there, but I can't get the black cover piece off that is hiding the blower motor? Is it a gentle yank (if so, where)...is there some screw I'm missing....what's the trick?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post a complete write up with pictures once I get this solved. For what that's worth.
