Hi everyone,
I need some advise regarding brake and probably engine upgrade.
Firstly the brake:
the original is pretty weak, I am sure I am not the only who already faced with this issue. I would like to upgrade it for the 4 pistons caliper at the front, maybe from the 500 SL from 1992.
Is there anybody who did it before? Experience? Does it worth the hassle?
Secondly engine:
I am about the take the cylinder heads off to fix the hydraulic lifters as well as change all the sealing in it.
At the end it is quite pricey as I do not want to buy after-market parts but original. Actually it will cost me almost the same amount of money like buying an another engine, maybe 500 from 1992 SL. Than I would gain an extra 100 HP, that I would be very happy with of course.
However I do not know what else do I have to modify on the vehicle to be able to install the newer engine.
Is there anybody who did it before? Will the gearbox and the other mechanical parts able to handle the extra power such differential, CV etc.
I would appreciate some advise.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for tip. I checked so I know it is definitely possible. However I would need, if possible a step by step guideline from anybody, who did it, so I do not how to figure out every small trick.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
