Thumbs up Great Solution to the poor lighting on the US version 9004

Hi all,
My last thread was kind of confusing. I just wanted to let you know that I had successfully installed a set of xenon conversion kit 4500K with hi lo beam onto my 1990 560SEC. There is SIMPLY NO NEED to buy the expensive H4 Euro lenses. In fact, at night, people perceive my SEC as something of year 1999 CL coupe. Please note that this kit is made in Japan with anti-glare feature.

I still have some left. If you are interested, I can sell it to you at $400.00 (includes free installtion for Bay Area residents or free US ground shipping for the rest)

If you are interested, please email me at winwin668@hotmail.com

Thanks.

Thumbs up The xenon will fit on all Mercedes

Hi,
It will definitely fit on you 1986 420SEL whether you car uses the US version 9004 series or the Euro version H4 series. You can also opt for the Hi Lo beam feature, which this xenon kit includes while others don't.

Thank you.

i politely and strongly disagree

you have not come up with a 'great solution' at all.

i'm sorry to tell you but, the lens and reflector make the beam pattern.

if you put xenons in the 9004 housing, you might put out more light, but your beam pattern still sucks and it reflects too much light into on-coming motorists eyes.

if you don't believe me go to the daniel stern website

also you could have gotten euros for your $400.00.

Thank yoou for your comment.

Dear ebennz,
Thank you for your comments. Ok, no need to be so sensitive with your language.

The xenon kit comes with an anti glare feature which can avoid unfriendly blindness to oncoming traffic.

For $400 Euros you can get all these features... I don't think so. This is in USD as you know Euro are now higher than USD.

1) FREE US ground shipping or ONSITE installation for SF Bay Area residents

2) Hi and Low beam function
3) WATERPROOF Ballasts with separate fuse box unit.

Sincerely,
3WQM217

hurting your feelings was/is NOT my intention.

"no need to be so sensitive"
you didn't design the 9004 and beam pattern.

when i said 'your beam pattern sucks', it was not a personal slam...
everyone knows the beam pattern from a 9004 is AWFUL!

have you ever owned a REAL set of HELLA or BOSCH euros?

"i don't think so".

if you did you would never make those comments regarding the efficiency.

if you REALLY want to know the facts about 'these kits' click on this link.

i also strongly suggest anyone who is considering this do likewise.you have to know what you're getting [or selling]

Xenon quality

Please note that yes I have an experience of owning 8 Mercedes already. One of them is a 1998 S500 which comes with standard Philips xenon headlights. Believe or not, it failed twice already. The first time was a burnt bulb and the other time was a burned fuse. Luckily, it was covered by the warranty.

So, here is my conclusion, sometimes famous brand names does not say anything. The Polaris kit that I have installed on my 1987 560 SEL with US version headlights is just perfect! I have no problem with it at all. I have used it for at least one year before I even decide to represent that company and bring to the market. No wonder this company has been making lights for Acura cars. Here in the Bay Area, I have successfully introduced a few to open minded customers. None of them has filed a complaints. My oldest customer is one and half year ago.

To all members here, I truly respect your comments and thoughts.

ALWAYS OPENMINDED

Hi EBENZZ (PETER),

YES, I LIKE TO ALWAYS HEAR ALL SORTS OF COMMENTS AND ADVICES. HOWEVER, I TRULY THINK I SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE SITUATION BEFORE THEY MAKE PREJUDGEMENTS. IT IS THE PREJUDGEMENT THAT ALWAYS CAUSES UNNECESSARY ARGUEMENT AND MISUNDERSTANDING. DON'T BURY YOUR HEAD and CLOSE YOUR EYES TO COMPLAIN WITHOUT LOOKING AT A FULL PICTURE. YOUR LIFE WILL EVENTUALLY BE MUCH HAPPIER AND SMOOTHIER. KINDLY OPEN YOUR NOSE AND SMELL THE FRESH AIR.

Please note that products that I am introducing are ECE and NHTSHA approved. I have certificates and all document. Each ballast and xenon bulb are engraved with a factory stamp "E13" with a patent number. In terms of legality, I am not worried at all since the product here is exactly the same one found on Acura and Lexus cars. It is simply a peace of mind for me to introduce them to all car owners.

Whether or not that you are interested, it is totally of your decision and I truly respect it. I look forward talking to you soon.

Best Regards,
Andrew
