ABS Sensor

I replaced both my front ABS sensors on my '91 300se

THe problem I had was that the drivers side sensor that I bought second hand was the same as the passangers side one, but I didn't realise this until it had been knocked out and we went to replace it.

Other than the holes for the bolt to fit in, it appears to be fitted ok, however....
the car pulls to the left on braking. The ABS is activating at low speed and pulsing and at a decent speed the front right wheel locks up and ABS deactivates.

However when the ABS is deactivated the car brakes in a straight line.

I've read around and understand that a low voltage reading may be coming from the right sensor.

Is the left sensor fitted to the right wheel going to cause chaos or is it just a fitting issue and am I missing something glaringly obvious?

Answer

Yes.
The left sensor fitted to the right wheel is going to cause chaos in the system.

They are distinctly different length, resistance.
