installing cd changer
Hey guys before i install my cd changer i wanted to know if the radio security alarm will be activated if i take out the head unit. I remember this happing to my cousins benz and he had to go to the dealer ship to get it fixed.

If it's the old Becker thing, I think there is a spring type thing in the back of the deck so when you pull it out, it would tell the unit it has be removed. So, most likely you need to have it reset. Unlike the newer unit, that came with a code card you could do it yourself, the old Becker requires a tool to do that.

thanks guys...i have a 88' with the old becker system with 10 speakers...i just installed it...luckly i didnt have to reset it...the new cd changer sounds great..ill post pics of the install later..
