revving oddly

i have a 560 SEL, 1986

Revving weirdly
intake treatment with seafoam.1/3 in Gas, 1/3 in throttle body and 1/3 in oil.

Got all the white smoke out, was going well.

Have done nothing since then.

I started it up this AM when it was cold.

I got a loud rev, then slow down, then rev high, then rev low.

Levels out after 5 minutes or so. Not sure what this could be the cause of.

any ideas??

Cold start valve.

Any warning lights or indication light on the instrument cluster?

Ok lets troubleshoot this.

1. Locate OVP(s) not sure if it only has one. My 300se has just one. It should be lacated between the two firewalls, inline with the CPU, fuel relay and climate control. Flip clear top open and check the #10 fuse. If its broken replace the fuse. If it runs smoother with the new fuse then great. If it doesnt try removing the entire unit, it may have burnt out and needing replacement.

Try that and see where it takes you. PM me today tonight whenever Ill do some research on your problems.

I tried the OVC i did a solder repair like i saw online. When i pulled it the engine revved very high, and when i sealed back up with a zip tie and seal maker. Put it in and the engine starts right now and idle levels out quickly.

Odd, but i thin it works.
