Intermittent Electrical Issues? It May Be Your Ground Strap! By Pelican Parts
If you are having any sort of electrical problem, from a battery not charging to intermittent switches or lights, one of the first things you should do is check your engines ground. The engine is isolated from the frame of the car by the mounts and needs a good ground for the electrical system to function properly. The ground strap provides this, but it is exposed to the elements and does corrode and or become lose over time.
Always check or replace your ground strap first, before replacing any electrical component on the car.
With less than 30 minutes and a 10mm wrench, you can replace your ground strap wire and leave those electrical issues behind!
