'86 560SEL
My grandparents go to Smythe European, since that's where they bought the cars, and they (the S at least; not sure about the SL) are still under warranty.
My dad and I take ours to Campbell European. Why? Well apparently the idiots @ Smythe can't operate the hydropneumatic suspension on a 6.9; they drove my dad's from the shop to the pickup area without the suspension pressurized
and my dad has never been back since... I just go to Campbell European because they've been doing work on the 560 since we bought it from my grandparents in '97 or so.

Widebody 500SEC AMG
hey MB AMG my car is based on a 1984 500SEC. i like the 500 more than the 560 because it is a little easier to modify, less engine electronics and simple suspension. no engine swaps... yet.

the original kit came with a small spoiler for the rear deck. i felt its was too small for the car. its all about proportion ya know
. like a 911 without the turbo tail, just doesn't look balanced to me. nothing about my car is discrete.

Here's my moms W126's. I'm tryin to pry the coupe from her. It has so much potential because the motor and tranny were rebuilt 2 years ago and she drives it like.. you know.. an old lady.

Saw that car (Saleen's) on ebay a while back. Never claimed to have the 6.0 DOHC, just claimed 300hp, which is standard on the Euro 560 motor. It got up to $21K and the reserve was not met. Given it had low miles, like 40K or so? Saleen, are you willing to disclose what you picked that car up for or a round about figure? I am looking to shop my AMG possibly in the near future.
