car shaking at start up and cruise control
before i took it into the shop for all the suspension work the car was on 18's (amg monoblocks) and the cruise control worked fine...and it started fine..
after i got it back it starts but shakes alot...and then i give it gas and its all good but other wise it dies out..
and the cruise control doesnt work 8(
he says the fuel injectors cause the shaking in start up and the cruise control has to do with the rims being a bigger size..
but now with 15's its still doesnt work?!?
any help is appreciated ...
thanks!
Control "Stalk"- The lever on the steering column that allows the driver to adjust the CC functions.
Hall Sender-Generates a signal based on road speed.
Amplifier-Logic circuits that compare road speed to the desired setting.
Actuator-Electric servo that operates the throttle.
Typically the amplifier or the actuator go bad. Sometimes components on the amplifier have cold solder joints and they lose contact with the printed circuit board. You can make repairs like that yourself. The amp is under the impact-absorbing cover beneath the steering column.
