engine

hi guys,
my timing chain came off,bent 9 valves & i had them replaced,it came off again 2 days later wit the conecting rod making noise,my mechanic says i shld replace the emgine,that the engine cant be rebuilt,is there any that has had his engine rebuilt,was it a success?

Doesn't your mechanic warranty the timing chain replacement that was obviously not done properly?

all he said is that it is best i replace the engine,i asked another mechanic for a second opinion,he says the timing chain cant be replaced properly in Nigeria.i spent about $200 for the replacement,do u know if the engine can be rebuilt,since my connecting rod is now making noise
