Gen 1 500sec not getting fuel
One of my project cars stalled when i drove it a few days ago. The car is not in good condition, it sat almost 10years before i got it. I changed the fuel pump relay as the one it had was shot. It started and run better then before, but still sputtering and hesitation, i suspect maybe the eha valve. Drove it a little and then it died.
Now it wont start, and i think it has something to do with the fuel system. I changed the fuel pump, as it was singing loudly when idling minutes before it died. But the car is still not getting fuel, i pulled a fuel line going to the distributor to check, then i pulled the line going between the filter and the pump, and there was no pressure, but the pump seems to work. There was water in the fuel tank, from condensation that i have now drained, around the FP there was small bits of ice. Don't know if that can freeze the fuel pump from working. The FPR is for a 560, so i recived the wrong relay, can that cause it to not run? The old relay did start the pump, but now it is completly shot. It can be an electrical problem, almost every relay is shot. The most important for me is to get the car running, it will to through a major restoration (not by me), and the original fuel system is going EFI. Anyone had any problems like this?
