Update
Just an update for everyone, I went and checked out the car. It is entirely legitimate *except* its only the euro/japanese engine
(only 300hp) We went on an open road, and before I could exhale, we were doing 140 km/h, its still hella fast. Other then that, the car is truly beautiful, awesome glossy white paint job done properly, 225 front tires (8" i believe) and get this, 10" in the back! He claims that those fat wheels CAN be broken loose, by the big engine. There isn't a hint of a scratch on any rims. Its still for sale, and the guy is firm on $21,000 canadian dollars. The interior is also perfect, but the rear electric shade doesn't grab any more, the motor still runs when the switch is pressed though, so its got some hope. Sunroof works fine, etc.
PM me if you want the guy's email.
Cheers,
Brian

Briannelso; where did yo ufind the 88 AMG??? I'd love to go check it out and compare the condition to mine considering how cheap I got mine. I actualyl got the car for my dad. It was his bday.
Mine was the one at Langley Auto Sales. I heard yo uwent down to check it out. I picked it up on Saturday and already took it up to 240KM.
And the car still has some issues to work out.

The car owner's email addy is cale moodie <cale_moodie@hotmail.com>
The car is in significantly better shape. The leather is plush and colourful, the paint is brand new and absolutely perfect. The rims are also entirely mint, 8" front, 10" rears!! I thought yours had meats....
pics i took when i visited him are at http://www.sfu.ca/~bnelson/benz.zip.
The car needs nothing except possibly the climate control unit, it works manually, but not well on auto. To be honest, me and my friend were convinced that the one you looked at in Langley had definately had odometer rollback. My 1990 300SE's interior is literally 10times newer looking then that one. But it sounds like you have the resources to take on a car like that, and thats wicked, its a lot of car for the price.
Cheers,
Brian

The car runs like it has the mileage that it says no doubt about it. Although one of the cylinders might have low compression, there is a problem with the computer, and there is also an intake manifold gasket leak. If we ever plan on pulling the engine, it's going back in there with a turbo on each side. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I really love this car!
