C219 rims on W126
I've been considering for some time a change of rims to something slightly larger than stock. There are some gorgeous AMG/Brabus/Carlsson/Lorinser rims around, but finding the 'right' ones in the right size, width and offset can be difficult, and not necessarily economic.
The CLS (C219, at least) came with a 17x8.5J et18 as stock. Many CLS owners change these rims meaning they're fairly readily available and at generally better prices. I don't know what weight they are, though...
However, on the face of it they look to be a candidate for the W126.
I've attached a pic of one of the rims, and a particularly bad copy'n'paste effort of the rim on to a 500SE. The rims aren't the correct size - I replaced the stock 15" rim with something the same size, so these should be better.![Embarrassment](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Any thoughts?
