Just got an '85 380se with a broken timing chain. I plan on pulling the motor and cleaning everything up as well as pulling heads and getting everything freshened/fixed. I will be doing the work myself. I'm a mechanic but haven't worked on one of these before. Is there anything I should be looking for or doing while it's out? What should I be careful of? Is it easier to pull the motor with the trans or to separate them? Any special tools I'll need to get this done? Thanks
