replacing console lights with LEDs?
anyone know of how to do it, anyone whose done it and/or where I could get some information about it? My father owns a mercedes shop, so the tools and parts would not be a problem..

I've seen conversions online for the instrument cluster, but nothing for the center console itself. Theres only a few lightbulbs that I know of in there, and fiber optics carry it to different locations (I might be wrong about this...) so I don't think it would be that costly or hard if you could just find leds that would fit.

I remember some years ago I replaced a switch on the upper conole in my 240D. The light was carried by fiber optics or something like from switch to switch.
This may not be the case in new cars like my S or M.
Although in my '86 SEL one of my window switch lights is out. Makes me think there is a bulb. Who knows?
