Fuel delivery problem

I just picked up another W126 body, a 1982 380 SEC. The car hasn't been run in about 2-3 years. We drained all the fluids and put fresh fuel and injector cleaned into the system. Found we had a bad fuel pump, replaced it. Try to start the car and it tries but won't quite go. Before doing all this we had it running by spraying fresh fuel into the plenum, and it ran great. Now we can't even get that to happen. Any suggestions where to go from here? What would cause this and how do I fix the problem?
