Depressed/Need Advice - Selling my 1985 300SD
I need to sell my 1985 300SD and get a *gulp* minivan. (shoot me). I have her listed on Auto Trader Classics/Craigslist. I really don't want to just dump her at CarMax. I've really maintained her, and want her to go to someone who cares about maintaining her as much as I do. Any suggestions on a good place to list her for sale? I already dodged a scammer on Craigslist. TIA

Well, for the right buyer, you could get more for it, especially if well maintained and with maintenance and/or part purchase records. When I bought my 560SEL in February of last year I gladly paid $2,500 for it because the man I bought it from (who was the second owner) and the original owner had kept great maintenance records on the car, which were being included. And I should note the car I bought was far from perfect condition, but I liked it. Just takes the right person seeing your ad and saying to themself, "that's what I want!".
