Interruption when idling
Dear All,
I am the owner of a MB SEL- WDB 126 033 1201 7051, produced in 1981 for Switzerland. Is has 181.5 k Miles ( 292 k Km)
Engine cylinders pressure is OK (12.5 in all). There is an interruption when idling, but it disappears on the road. Idle must be 900. When it is 800, the engine stops when I start moving from 0 km/hrs. I changed the spark plugs, contact breaker cap, fixed the ignition. The plugs looked well burned after 300 miles at high speed, with no difference between the cylinders. My specialist advice me that this could be due to malfunction of vacuum system. I was not able to find a schematics with MB codes on it.
