Question E / S switch automatic transmission defective

Hello, since I have my car I have noticed that the selector that is next to the gear lever and that allows you to switch between the different economy and standard modes does not work. The car is stuck in economy mode so it doesn't usually slow down when I accelerate further and always shifts to no more than 3000 laps and the only way to get a little more lively is by using the kickdown. Can someone tell me what the problem may be, so the car always goes in economy mode and does not change to standard? On the other hand I would like to know where I can locate the valve that regulates the selection of both modes in case this is the fault. Thank you very much.

First you need to find an old sausage maker that has the tools to diagnose your transmission problem. All else is a FUYAA with no solution
