My 83 300SD driver front window motor works but I have to lightly tap it to get it moving. Is there a way to service or lube the motor? Thanks for any help. I have a frozen one in my garage that I took apart to see how things work but I can't get the top and bottom to go all the way back together. Seems like something is blocking the shaft. The gears move but the shaft won't do anything but hum. Any ideas there as well? Thanks again.

I like your style. To the point. Hey do you know what those 2 little plastic cap looking things are on the motor? They look like they can be removed and put back on. Ckear/whitish color. Thise are why I thought maybe I could lube it. Any idea why the motor works when I give it a knock?
