Help. 617 Water Pump Removal / Replacement

Hi I asked this question "over the road" but got no reply.

I used search here but thsi issue has not been addressed before as far as i ca n see.

Here is/are my problems.

I am unsure of the procedure to remove and replace the water pump in my 617 5 cyl diesel engine. (It is leaking bad).

I removed 4 of the 5 size 13 mm bolts that attach the alloy housing to the block but the bottom bolt will not unscrew all the way out as the head is jammed against the flywheel below. (The one that can used for timing I think)

The bolt that wont come out is the top most one from this picture that I got from ebay.

(Do I have to take off the flywheel in front of the assemply?

What should I do about this?

I placed very little pressure on it and off came the head.

What is the best way to approach extracting it?

Thanks. John

The bolt is now broken? I'm thinking vise grips, or drill a hole in the bolt and use something to torque it like a rod or screw driver, will have to take that part off to clear the bolt unless there is a section cut out that would allow the bolt to clear it will probebly have to crank the engine to turn it. Used to have a chilton but can't find it, will probebly have to call the dealership and ask to talk to a tech if time is an issue.....
