Hi everybody.
I got my 91 350SDL leaking ATF from under the neutral safety switch on the left side of the transmission. Pretty good leak, one drop every 5-8 seconds.
I was hoping it was a shift shaft seal, but it sadly leaks only with engine running and in D (not in R or P) which is when B2 is under pressure, so i suspect the reaction valve of band B2. From the drawings, its behind the Neutral safety switch and it doesn't seem to be repairable from outside.
Does it mean that i need the transmission out of the car and pretty deeply disassembled to replace that part?
Would it be better to just pour some leak stop and see if that helps, and if it doesnt, get that thing rebuilt?
thanks!
