300SD ALDA Adjust, Acceleration Restored
All:
For 300SD newbies - After troubleshooting the typical 300SD "slugmobile" no acceleration problem on one of our low mileage sedans by checking/cleaning all the ALDA lines/banjo fittings, and switchover switch, and changing both fuel filters, with no performance improvement...
...I adjusted the ALDA 3/4 turn CCW (after removing the no-tamper cap and loosening the lock nut of course). On our 83 & 84 300SDs the ALDA is located on driver's side of engine above the fuel injection pump.
Success!!! What a huge difference in acceleration/performance!!!
