Working through making a running car. My donor engine has some pretty bad electrolysis damage on the right side head where the coolant block off is. Do people usually weld this? The metal is only about 3/8” thick here due to the EGR passage. Machinist said should be fine, just need to deck the head then the intake side to get them flat after welding.
$400 for the welding, decking 2 sides on the right head and skimming the left head to get them all flat again.
that being said, anyone got a good used head mear or willing to ship to MI? M117 5.6
