350 SDL Transmission numbers and what do they mean?
My 1991 350 SDL is in need of a new (used) transmission. When I search for used car parts, the following options are given for transmission numbers:
- 361:3 495 995
or
- 361:3 495 994

Here is an example of what I mean from car-parts.com



I will refer to these by the last three digits.
My vehicle has the transmission ending 995. My questions are 1) what are the differences between these two automatic transmissions?, and 2) can the 994 transmission be used in a car that originally had the 995 transmission?

my guess is something is different hence why the change in PNs.
Could be computer control?

MAybe google each ID?

I have googled, but the info evades me. My mechanic tells me that they are different somehow, but I cannot determine how.
