Strong gas odor from 1982 380 SE
I just acquired my grandmother's 1982 380 SE. It was driven by my now 88 yr. old grandmother in FL since 1982- All service was done by the MB dealership in Lakeland. My parents currently have the car at their condo in FL and they say there is a strong gasoline smell present in the garage when they store it there. NEone have any ideas about what this issue might be? They are going to have it checked out by the Benz dealership nearby but I was wondering if it would be a relatively easy fix or if they would possibly be better off getting it taken care of by the dealership. Any guesses or experiences dealing with this would be GREATLY appreciated.
