90 300SE 126 Trans slips from time to time
Hi I have a 90 300SE with 242,000 miles, for the past year (30,000 miles) the trans. will randomly slip going into 2nd under part throttle. It seems to only happen when the car is cold but it doesn't do it all the time. It does appear to be getting worse. THe trans has never been touched except for fluid/filter changes every 30-40K since new.
Any ideas?

Time for a rebuilt, I think. Considering the mileage you have on it. It's normal wear and tear stuff, I guess. I just had mine done and it runs like new again. I had leaks from the secondary pump and slipped from time to time. A few times it even stuck in gear and wouldn't upshift.
