What should I do

Okay. So I have a 86 560SEL that does not run. The cost to get this thing running goes for about the price of purchasing a new engine (roughly 4~5K).

My question is: Should I just sell it as is or should I repair it, then sell it?

You can probably pick up an engine for much less than that. There is a 420 on ebay right now with 100k mi for $1200. I would shop around for a good low mileage engine and then change guides, timing chain, valve seals etc.
