it will fit
they do fit on the w220. thing is you need the w220 airbag and face (horn part). Another problem is that the airbag may not deploy, if God forbid, you have a serious accident. The SRS light will most likely stay on all the time. Maybe this can be reset like like all the other service etc lights that come on the dash? I confirmed this with a friend of mine who has a huge Mercedes used parts lot in London. So I took his advice and Im waiting for my new steering wheel to arrive, gonna have to buy the horn plate, if mine doesnt fit. Its the same colour as my existing wheel, so at least it will match with my black and burl wood interior

Are you just looking for a wood/leather steering wheel? Several companies sell W140 wood/leather steering wheels, and this allows you to keep your current airbag and drive knowing the airbag unit is functional.

no, i found a black all leather one locally for $300.
bought it based on matching it up with the w140 steering wheel in my car.
it seems to fit diameter wise and depth wise. so i bought it since the person was moving and in a rush to catch a flight.
i was hoping it was a direct fit.

can you see if he is willing to do a trade? i have a pretty much brand new black leather steering wheel off a 2005 s500.
i'll give him the one i have now, and he gives me one for a w140.
