420 vs 500
hi guys, i'm considering trading my 94 S420 with 140.000 miles on it to a 95 S500
with 62.000 miles on it.
i am wondering if the 5.0L will use much more fule then the 4.2L, or it is very similar.

phoenix, was that a stupid question? The mileage is the diffrence, s500 (If it wasn't rewound) is the way to go. They both eat quite a lot of gas, but the s500 so much more powerful.

i know their it is a no brainer when it comes to the mileage, i was wondering how much worse it is on gas. I did not buy the car cuz when i went to see it it was a rust bucket, i did drive it and it does have much more power especialy off the line, mine is a slug off the line especialy when the A/C is on.
the serch is on for a good S500.

You must understand, The car should be from a single owner.... most 95 models have been rewound which makes it hard to choose on mileage alone. ask to take the car on a test drive for 3 hours and drive right down to a local mechanic and have it checked inside out! If he approves then only will you buy the car!
