Keyless entry remote repair? or replace?
The factory Keyless entry remote on 98 S420 is n longer working. I checked the batteries and they were low so installed new batteries but still not working. contacts looks fine. Are there any repair service for these remotes? I got a quote from a local dealer for $165 for replacement. would be nice to hear from someone that knows where I can get one for reasonable price also.

Did you try reprogramming the remote according to your owners manual? That is what I have to do when I replace the batteries in the remotes.

syncro didn't work, in addition the red light on remote doesn't come on any more.
