a Few Nice cars.
i just painted mine for 3 grand,but im looking to repainting again cuz he messed up and its not worth goign to court on,IF you can go to Earl Scheib would be best they have a 6 YEAR warranty thats just awesome and they use GERMAN paint. check out there web page www.earlscheib.com

3 K Is Way Too Much I Am Shooting For 1 Or 1.5k THERE IS NO SCHEIB SHOPS IN MY STATE I DID CHECK THEIR WEB PRICES VERY SIMILAIR TO MAACO..............

A $1K paint job is going to look horrible on a w140. You get what you pay for... so unless a retired high end painter is doing you a favor for $1K, I doubt the results will look good.
You are changing the entire color of the car, correct? What about the engine bay and door jambs?
I just sent my '70 Electra to the body shop for paint, for a mid level job, it is going to run $4,500.. it would have cost $8K to get the top of the line paint job.
Remember, this is a w140....it deserves nothing but the best. At least get a quote from the MB dealership.
.. and please do not badge it a S600...
as for my other cars, I will start another thread just for you

i am finally getting the car painted on tuesday.....white color..........will post pics soon.............
PS-----some mods desided to put me on probation which i car less for, however nothing was done to the other member involved.....but again its their website and they do whatever they like........

Just my opinion: I think you should stick with your H&R suspension setup and use the airbag money to get the proper paint job for your w140. No sense in getting a cheap paint job if you are building a show car. What happens if you go to a show and pop your doors, hood, and trunk and the judges see a different color? The better the paint job, the better the car looks, the longer the paint lasts, and the happier you are

painting door jams and the engine bay are going to be a ***** and $$$$,but he is right,i hate watching Pimp my ride and seeing all the work they do an dyet they dont paint the jams and engine bay...takes away the cars class..do it right the 1st time or you will end up hating yourself....i like the color it is now and it would be MUCH cheap to keep it the same color and just paint the Body kit..just MHO....cant wait to see this project complete..good look Maci

the 600 and v12 badges will be applied after the paint and will stay same....i am also adding a personalezed license plate amg if it is not yrt taken....

its gonna sick bro.....im thinkin body kit myself...when i went to WWE RAW in Dallas on the 3rd i hit a dip that i didnt see and it craked my front bumper on the bottom (about 1/2 size) noteven noticable but needs to be delt with before it gets worse...suck too i just spent $3k on the paint too..what do ya do,ya know???..@$%& happens...my car is FINALY going ot get the caps on tomorrow....................................ihope

my kit is from fiberglass and right know sits low with air suspwill lay flat on ground i have to be very careful not to crak the kit....
