Blower fan

does anyone know if the blower fan speed control regulator is the same on a 94 w140 as in a 97 w140.
when the fan is on max it does not blow hard.
I had the same problem with my 94 420. and it was the speed control regulator that i replaced and the problem was fixed.
on the 97 i have a different climent control system, and i dont know if the speed control unit is the same on both models.
if it is i can just order the same part number and change it myself like i did on the other one.

I had this problem when I got the car. A friend of mine that works in a shop hooked me up with a blower and regulator from a 97 S420 that was totaled. I was very happy that day, after all, I was given a $600 part for free.
Since I am not that lucky, I got the fan working but the speed is stuck on LOW all the time. The regulator on this unit was burnt also. But at least I have AC and heat at low Fan speed for now.

I believe 92-99 regulators are the same. Most of them are black, but I have seen some on Ebay that are white in color going for $180-250.

I only drive the car on the weekends, so this is not a big problem for me. I will get the new regulator at some point.

Phoenix, I do believe they are the same. If you did this before you know what an easy job it it. I just did mine a few weeks ago and what a joy it is to have full fan speed here in Arizona. Try the place I get my parts www.autohausaz.com they ship free on orders of $50 or more. I paid $170. for the speed control relay Good luck
