hey guys,

i finally decided to call a local benz shop and htey said it was only 1.5 hours to do check strap repair for the door. The rattle is absolutely driving me nuts so I decided to buy one off ebay. its only $20 so i figured i got nothing to lose. The car just sounds so cheap with that damn rattle. i want it sounding like a benz. anyways they are about $20 new on ebay. just FYI

omeyhomey, Just had this done myself. I paid $14 for the door strap and for &100 my shop installed it and fixed the trunk(Latch was missing screws). I was afraid to mess up the leather door panel. Try www.autohausaz.com, they have great prices on most things. I still shop around but find them less most the time. OK thats my 2 cents worth --Good Luck

ya i got mine for $20 which is good enough in my book. labor should be 80-120 depending. well worth it in my opinion

You're lucky yours didn't do to you waht mine in my 95 did to me. It bent the font window rails inside the door and cost me $400 to fix.
