Since you're the one stalking my posts so you should know I don't lease cars. I'll make it easy for you to understand. When you charge your clothes on your JC Penny's card, you buy now and pay later but you own those clothes. Thats what I do with my car. I choose my car, put a down payment and drive off. I still bought the car, the bank just puts a lien on it until its paid off.
Besides, there is no advantage for me to pay cash for my car since my company gives me a monthly car allowance. My company gives me a fixed amount every month and I go buy the car I want. The amount is taxed as income but I negotiate my net car allowance and they tax up that amount. If the payments exceed the amount my company gives me, I pay out of my pocket. They reimburse me for all my gas and parking through an expense account and I still write off the use of my car on my taxes.
So tell me whats wrong with me financing my car again?

My company gives me a $1250 a month car allowance regardless of what car I choose to drive. I could spend more than that but its out of my posket and it that wouldn't make sense either. Whether I use $5-$1500 of it is my choice. If I were a classless loser like you, I could buy a beat up W140 and spray paint it white but I chose to have a nicer car!
Leasing makes no sense to me because of various reasons, including mileage restrictions and lack of ownership. I could pay cash but I don't find the need to take out of my own savings/investments. Financing makes the most sense because 1) As long as my payments fall below $1250 per month, I have positive cash flow. Essentially, my company pays me more than my car payment. 2) I have very little debt, so I actually don't mind having one highline debt. 3) Regardless of whether my car is paid off or not, I still have a car allowance. So its not money lost in my book regardless of interest paid because I earn more from my money invested, than I pay in interest.
Get over yourself Marci. There is nothing stopping me from driving an S-class other than me not wanting one.
Oh, and whats in my wallet??? I could buy an E55 in cash if I were so inclined.
