92 500sel/01 320e wag
The MB capacity chart shows 8.6 liters on a new refill and 7.7 liters on a drain. I had my trans replaced n my 92 500 SEL along with some cooling lines and they used almost 10. 4 qts, even 4 liters, does not compute!

the new MB Dealership service sheets now recommend changing the oil in the "Sealed for life" trannies at 120K. I did that on mine (MB Oil at the dealership) and it's still running as smooth as eer. I hadn't been having any problems, or else I would have maybe tried the Royal Purple, which I have also heard good things about at the non-dealership service center I also use. They service their own MB and BMW cars for street and racetrack, and highly recommend it.
