Flared fenders?

I have a 1999 S500. i was always in love with the 94' E500s and today the idea came to me....what would my car look like with slightly flared fenders? not too much to make it look like some crazy race car made for old people. but just a tad more than it has, like if the fenders came out another inch, same with the wheels......anyone thought of this before? got picts?

please send me the feedback

I used the tirerack fender tool to give my M3 bigger flares, u can get almost an extra inch of clearance using the tool in smooth motions. The tool is $300 but u can buy them on ebay for $199. hope that helps

I think flared fenders would look good, if it was all done right. Flared fenders, new wider bumpers to meet the wider fenders properly, wider wheels and tires to fill out the flare, and drop the whole thing closer to the tires.

Otherwise it'll just look like a hack job.

Exactly. But has anyone done/seen this on a S500?

no b/c honestly its rarely needed. I'm running AMG staggered monoblocks on dropped suspension on my W140 and my tires are still no where near rubbing. no point in rolling fenders unless u have clearance issues otherwise it will just look goofy.

that's not true, rolled fenders look awesome, especially if you got some serious power to back it up, the bumpers can easily be moved outwards, and get some fatty tires when yours are worn, big huge tires look awesome with big wheels, and hey, its safer to have more rubber hitting the ground, so i say go for it

Flared Fenders

The last time I was in South Carolina I saw an S-Class with flared fenders.

And I have to say a dually S-Class somehow looked right at home down there.

30/35s on an S-Class
