Question S500 1996 w/o parktronic

Hi guys, I don't have parktronic in my S500 so I was wondering why in my S500 there are no telescopic rear guides. Even some S420 have them. In other words those guides help to reverse park.

The rods were introduced in 92,91 europe140s, they are 4 inches long and dont do a lot. I have them on my 92 and you really have to look to see them. There are aftermarket sensors that can be installed, I personally think they are another thing to go wrong, and place no value on them. They are driven off the lock/unlock/ and other pump under the rear seat. Mb discontinued them

Got it, thank you. I just tought that rods were an extra luxury in the package. But it appears that not luxury, it's an inconvenience

I probably will have to go with aftermarket rear parktronic. What would you recommend?
