The car I acquired has a small lock/key near driver's legs - the key goes towards the gearbox. Currently the key sits in the lock, and the car drievs OK and I do not want to play with this key until I get any info what is this for. I will ask at a professional garage - but maybe any of you also know and may give soem flavour. Is it an standard/optional gearbox locker for antitheft purposes? I know this type of solution from other cars, but how does it work in W140? Anybody has a similar "device"?
