HELP Cant disarm alarm! car immobilized

HELP Cant disarm alarm! car immobilized
i have search for any help for this but nothing so i hope someone can help.
car is a 93 500 sel . the other day i did something very simple. my husband locked th door w key while i was still in it. i opened the door to get out and alarm started going off. we put key in door and it did nothing, put key in ignition, it did nothing and wont start! i bought new batteries for remote, but not sure if it is working. the red cover on the end is missing. so i ask how in the he--- do i get this disarmed? cant start car till i do . anyone every hear of this happening before. we tried disconnecting battery for a couple days but when we reconect and open door it starts going off again.
